Believe it or not, my first consult was actually done using Skype, and it was one of the most thorough consults I had by far. During the consult Steve in the Nashville office was very knowledgable about hair loss. I became very comfortable with talking to him, so comfortable that I allowed him to assist me in making one of the biggest life changing decisions I have ever made. I began to notice my hair receding in my mid 20s. The recession continued through my 30s and I started to wear my hair combed forward in a "ceasar" style to try to hide the recession. I realized at ab ... I began to notice my hair receding in my mid 20s. The recession continued through my 30s and I started to wear my hair combed forward in a "ceasar" style to try to hide the recession. I realized at about 38 that the best thing to do was to cut all my hair very short. I decided at age 44 to explore hair transplant surgery. I shopped around online and found a doctor in Beverly Hills that had offered three things that I THOUGHT were important: 1. Best price for highest number of grafts=Cost effective 2. Yale trained surgeon=Qualified 3. Beverly Hills location=Must have a lot of experience, because based in LA. A year later I had a sparse result and a scar line that could be seen on the back of my head. The experience itself and the care that I received were fine. I paid $6000 and got more hair than I had at the start, but I did not look much different and I did not achieve a frontal hairline. I learned several things: 1. I never saw photos of the doctor's previous work=Big Mistake! 2. A Yale education, doesn't equal a lot of hair or an undetectable scar. 3. Best price doesn't always yield best results. I researched Dr Bolton for about 6 months, as I knew at that point that my first precedure was not going to yield the results that I wanted. I spoke to Josh and saw all of the pics on Dr Bolton's website, and I scheduled my procedure. Please note, that I had Dr Bolton shave the area, because he said it would be easier to work on the area. Also, please note that I do have some swelling in my face and under my eyes in the day 3 pic, which is normal. Lastly, please note the pic of the back of my head, as there is NO VISIBLE incision line and I actually have a 9" sucture hidden under my hair. I will be adding pics as I heal. Read More →
