This like any cosmetic surgery is to help with your self esteem and at the end of the day that's all that matters not someone else's opinion. When you do decide to go on that adventure, please do your research and consider Dr. Bret Bolton at Great Hair Transplants.
I did a lot of research and even after selecting Dr. Bolton I was still nervous and skeptical. However, he is the best hands down. He explained the process and tells you the good and the bad, when I say the bad I mean what realistically you would expect. That said, he listened to my personal opinion and completely supported my decision of what I wanted to get. That was unbelievable and from that moment on he had my full trust. He wasn't trying to sell me anything or make it so I had to get another surgery. He was honest and understanding and I highly respected that.
As to the actual surgery, I wont sugar coat it, the initial anesthesizing injections were the worst part. It does hurt a little, but nothing unbearable, but I can't express how awesome and professional him amd his team are. He would consistently ask if I needed a break or how I was doing and would stop if I asked at any point. Never once did he just keep going or told me that he "has" to keep going which shows his patience, respect and care for his patients need. His team was also very accomodating and quick to assist if I had any discomfort. Once the anesthesia was done he started the process and at any time I felt even a tiny pinch he made a point to anesthesize again so I didn't feel any pain. Shortly after I fell asleep and woke up to the entire procedure completely done.
He did everything I asked for and more. He always tries to go above and beyond if he is able to and he certainly showed it with me. If I could give him 10 stars I would. I haven't seen my results as I just finished the surgery, but I had to share my experience. I am not getting any incentive or discount for doing this review, this was earned by him and his staff. It was still expensive as it is for any cosmetic surgery, but I don't regret Dr. Bolton as my surgeon. Please, please, please do your reasearch, look him up online he has plenty of videos and if you choose to do FUT, do it with Dr. Bolton you will not regret it.

I was able to select movies and have snacks throughout the entire process. The night after surgery was a breeze. I slept comfortably right across the street at the Hilton, and was picked up the next morning for a followup appointment before my flight. Both times were life changing! Before seeing Dr. Bolton, I had already been experiencing significant hair loss since age 23 (2009). By the time I decided to see Dr. Bolton for a hair transplant I was a Norwood 5\6 with no hairline and major loss in the front, top, and crown area of my head. For my first procedure, in June 2019, Dr. Bolton did a Max Harvest Plus procedure and restored\created a hairline. The results from this first procedure were life changing and gave me a massive confidence boost. In August 2020 I visited Dr. Bolton again and got another Max Harvest Plus procedure, this time on my crown area (with some additional grafts added in the front). The two procedures combined were so well done and natural looking! Now I have the appearance of a full head of hair! People who knew I was going bald before now give me second looks every time they see me. Some people, who haven't seen me in awhile and had forgot that I was loosing my hair, now compliment me and say stuff like, "Ah you got a haircut. Looks better than what I got. I'm loosing my hair." ...This is pretty amazing because before the procedure people used to make fun of me for losing my hair and I'd always feel embarrassed going out in public without my head shaved or anytime I would grow it out, I hated how it looked.
