It has been exactly one year since my procedure. I'm so pleased that I ultimately chose Dr. Bolton as my doctor.
I've been experiencing hair loss since I was 19 years old, and I have used Minoxidil ever since then. Now, several decades later, the extent of my hair-loss has progressed and prevented me from maintaining my customary hair style. In other words, I did not feel like myself any longer.
My personal standards are very high, so I thoroughly researched my options. I recognized that Dr. Bolton does fine, detailed work that includes the transplantation of singular follicular units and requires technical and artistic talent. What further impressed me was Dr. Bolton's work with burn patients. The results Dr. Bolton's patients achieved were natural and robust. I was so inspired by his patient's stories that I flew out from California to have Dr. Bolton perform my own FUT procedure.
During our initial consultation, Dr. Bolton spent considerable time with me to design a new hairline that was exactly what I wanted. He also informed me that I may need a second procedure in order to ultimately achieve the density I want. Many doctors won't transplant hair to the temple peaks. (That is the hair on the side of your head) Dr. Bolton fortified my temple peaks, then created a strong hairline that was uniquely suited to the shape of my head. He completely rejuvenated my hairline back to where it was during my 20's.
Dr. Bolton's manager arranged for me to stay in a recovery room during the first few days while the grafts began to heal. The fact that I had someone right there made me feel very secure. I was shepherded through the process of recovery while I was well cared for, and I well fed.
We achieved the best result possible with one max-harvest procedure. I've come to recognize that Dr. Bolton did more work on me than I first realized. He transplanted back into my existing hairline, and it appears that all the hair he transplanted grew out completely.
The new transplanted hair supports the way my existing hair falls and frames my face.
No one has noticed that I've had substantial work done. People just tell me that I look really good. People did not notice the change because the transplanted hair grew in gradually over the first few months after the procedure. There are no scars in the transplanted area and the donor area is completely healed with a hairline scar that is almost completely invisible. My high-end barber has other clients with transplants. He told me that the job Dr. Bolton performed on me was the best he has ever seen.
